Deairice K Cates Jefferson, a man known for his amiable nature and passion for sports, passed away on May 8, 2024, at the age of 38. Born in Knoxville, TN, on April 14, 1986, Deairice's warm smile were a blessing to all who knew him.

Deairice was a beloved son to Javonna, Stepfather (Terry) Euglon and  Father Razell Jefferson. He was a protective and loving brother to his sister, Razonda Jefferson, who, along with her partner (Tyrone), Deairice was a loveable uncle to two nephew's DaZa'ion Jefferson Vaughn, and TyZonnie Walker was, always striving to be a role model and a source of joy in their lives.

Though his time with us was cut short, Deairice's memory will be kept alive by his devoted family. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joyce Wykle, Mary L Jefferson, and James Jefferson; his uncles, Emanuel Wykle, Claude Cates; and his aunt, Pamela Jefferson. Their legacy of kindness and strength lives on through Deairice's example.

Deairice's infectious laughter and friendly demeanor will be deeply missed by his aunts, Telisa Butler and Sheryl Lewis; his uncle, Darell Cates; and his great-uncle James Lundy and great-Aunt Pauline Cates . His cousins, Lamar Jefferson, Jonisha Morelan,Shaquanna Wilson,Kamisha Jefferson, Sharenna Cates, Laresa Cantrell, Nicolmi Wilson, Kanisha Bridges, Fudoreya Wykle and Davrian Butler along with a host of great cousins and friends, will forever hold Deairice in their hearts, remembering the countless good times they shared.
Sports were one of Deairice's greatest passions. And he loved hanging with close family members as a child.

Deairice's family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude for the love and support shown during this difficult time. The void left by his passing is immense, but the memories he created will forever be a source of comfort and peace.
