Dominic DeJon Shaw of Knoxville,TN departed this life on Saturday, January 4, 2025. He was the son of Dennis Shaw and Johnetta Morgan -Shaw. Dominic was born in Jacksonville, FL, on August 21, 1986. He spent his youth living in Memphis and Knoxville, TN.

Dominic was a true genius who enjoyed learning and participating in many sports and clubs. He graduated from Austin- East Magnet High School, class of 2004. While in high school he accomplished many accolades. He was in Who’s Who Among American High School Students 2001-2002, 2002-2003, and 2003-2004, National Honor Roll Spring 2003 and 2004, Honor Roll, and Best Physique in his Senior Class of 2004. He was a member of DECA, FBLA, ETS, and Teens for Christ. He was on the 2002-2004 football team, 2002-2004 track team, and Best All Region in football.

He was accepted at many colleges, such as University of Memphis, Lane College, University of Chattanooga, and Tennessee State University (TSU) . He was awarded a scholarship to attend the college of his choice and he chose TSU, where his major was Electrical Engineering.

Dominic was a skilled tiler and artist. He also played the trumpet.

Dominic was caring and very giving. He saw the good in everyone! He enjoyed playing pool, listening to music, and looking at nice cars.

Dominic is preceded in death by his loved ones; Grandparents, John Morgan and Zipporah Morgan; Uncles Timothy Shaw and Michael Shaw; Aunts, Demetria Shaw and Lisa Shaw.

Dominic is survived by his parents, Dennis Shaw of Memphis, TN and Johnetta Morgan-Shaw of Knoxville, TN; Grandmother, Ellen Shaw of Memphis, TN; the love of his life and only child Sophia Shaw, siblings, his twin, Dominica (Brian) Shaw-Gage of Milwaukee,WI, Jacque Shaw of Knoxville,TN, Courtney (David) Mauldin-Jones of Nashville, TN, Cierra Samms of Brooklyn, NY, Parrish Cox of Memphis,TN, and Andrew Jackson of Memphis, TN ; special Uncle and Aunt, Phillip and Cheryl Morgan ; best friend Kimp (Shanna) Billingsley and many loving uncles, aunts, cousins, and other family.
