Dr. Evelyne M. Davidson peacefully departed this earthly journey to her heavenly home Thursday, May 28, 2026. Evelyne leaves behind so many family, friends and colleagues to cherish her legacy of love, compassion, caring and discipline.

Evelyne’s story began April 5, 1961, in Knoxville. She was born into a medical family that influenced her journey to becoming an Internal Medicine doctor. She was educated in Knoxville Catholic schools becoming the Valedictorian of Knoxville Catholic High School. She did her Undergraduate studies at Vanderbilt University and attended Quillen-Dishner Medical School. She completed her Internal Medicine residency at Hanover Hospital in NC.

She returned to Knoxville to take over her father’s medical practice when he retired. She retired from private practice in 2008. Caring for others was her calling so she began working for Smoky Mtn Hospice then New Phase Research & Development as their Medical Director until her health failed.

She was a member of the Knoxville (TN) Chapter The Links, Incorporated, and several other professional, civic and social organizations.

She was preceded in death by parents Dr. and Mrs. Davidson, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.

She leaves to cherish a lifetime of beautiful memories: sister, Pamela Chesney; brother, Elvyn II (Pamela); nieces and nephews she treated as her own children; Robert (Sherra), Aiyana, Abigayle, Elvyn III (Morgan), Benjamin and Miles; cousins like siblings, Clyde Cowan and Sonya Lopez (Ricky); cousins, Leslie Garner and family, Rev. Kevin Davis and family, Iris (David) Wallace and family, Marshall families and other cousins too numerous to name.
