Elder Gerald Lynn Williams, a native of Knoxville, TN departed this life on Thursday, September 22, 2022. He graduated from Austin East class of 1976. He then went on to attend the University of Cincinnati for three and a half years before he was enlisted in the Military. He served eight years in the Marine Corp and saw combat in Granada as a Gunnery Specialist.
Gerald worked for ARC automotive for about twelve to fourteen years. He was the outreach pastor for CEC Church, former pastor of Medford Chapel AME Zion and Concord AME Zion. He was also the Season Saints bible study teacher at Freedom Fellowship Christian Church. He has mentored many young men who have become ministers of the word of God.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 31 years Johnetta Lattimore Williams; Sons: Jeremiah M. Williams and Frederick J. Smith; Grandchildren: Sadiea S Smith, Jordan T. Smith and Mikayla Lewis; Siblings: Cheryl Williams, Bertie Greer; Aunts: Joann Taylor, Bobbie Bridges; Uncles: Robert Williams, William Lattimore; Brothers In Law: Robert (LaTonya), Timothy (Linda) Lattimore; Sister In Law: Eleanor Stacey, several nieces, nephews, cousins.
