Elizabeth Harris

Elizabeth Ann Rutherford “Libby” Harris was born on March 12th, 1941 in Rogersville, TN (Hawkins County). She departed this life on Sunday, Oct. 1st, 2023 at her home in South Knoxville, TN after a long bout with Alzheimer’s disease. 

She was a devoted member of Harris Chapel Baptist Church, where she served as an usher and a treasurer for 30 years. She was adored by her family and church, who will truly miss her.

She is preceded in death by her husband James Harris, her parents Elmer and Mae Rutherford, and sisters Bernice Payne, and Mary Harris

She leaves to cherish her memories devoted son James Harris Jr. and wife Janice; daughter, Debbie Harris, and son Jerry Harris. A host of nieces and nephews of the Harris family.
