Emma Gable Obituary

Emma Sue Nance-Gable 92 formerly of Knoxville, TN , went to be with her Heavenly Father on Monday, May 4, 2026 peacefully at home. Born of Clover South Carolina, Mrs Emma Sue moved to Knoxville Tennessee, along with her eldest sister, Verine were they raised their children up in the lord. Outside of her extended siblings of SC.

During this period of time she married the late Ulysses Gable,and after his passing she became a member of Saint Joseph’s House of prayer were she gained a motherhood with the late Pastor Tonya Tucker& Family.

She loved gardening, cooking and sharing folk tales with everyone. She was a phenomenal mother/ grandmother, friend to everyone she encountered,& definitely love the lord

She is preceded in death be all five brothers Jim Adams , Hezekiah Adams, Isaiah, Adams, John Adams, and Johnson Adams, three sisters, Malvina Adams, Elizabeth Adams and Verine Asbury, and now they’re all united again in Heaven

Also preceded in death by three sons, William James Nance, David Nance, and Ricky Nance all of Knoxville; grandson, Joshua Nance

Surviving children, Mary Nance, Vicky Nance, and Michael Nance ; Grandchildren Tiffany Nance-McGhee, Almeer Nance, Misty Nance-Oden, Paul Nance, James NanceJr, Tyrone Nance, Jeffrey Ray ( Sugar)… over 50 great & great great grandchildren ; stepdaughters, Karen Miller and Katina Washington. A host of nieces nephews, cousins and church Family at Saint Joseph’s House of Prayer.
