Hattie Bingham Obituary

Hattie Bell Bingham, age 86, departed this life peacefully to be with the Lord on July 30, 2021, at University of Tennessee Medical Center, in Knoxville, TN. She was born January 8, 1935, in Milton, TN to John Sanders and Daisy McKnight. She was a devoted wife to Alonzo Willie Bingham for 40 years and mother to fifteen children. She was a homemaker and volunteer at the Western Heights Baptist Center for many years. Once her children graduated school, she worked as a Floor Technician at the University of Tennessee. After 21 years of dedicated service to the university, she retired and later became a Senior Companion. While working as a Senior Companion she answered her call to pastor.

She began pastoring Burnside House of Prayer in 1989 after her husband succumbed. She was the pastoral leader for over 32 years until her death. A devoted servant of the Lord, she engaged in several ministries. She witnessed door to door, gave food and clothing to the homeless, sang and preached God’s word to residents in nursing homes.

She fought her fight, she ran her race, she finished her course, and she shall receive her crown.

Preceded in death by husband, Alonzo Bingham; daughter, Evangelist C. Robinson; sons, Larry Bingham, Ronnie Bingham, and Mark (Tasha) Bingham; grandchildren, Christopher Robinson, Xavier Bingham, Keyawna Bingham, Demarcus Bingham and Monica Bingham; sisters, Daisy Sanders and Mary Frances Sanders and brother, John Sander Jr.
