Helen Jean Brown Obituary

Preceded in death by parents, William James & Annie Beatrice Washington; siblings, Howard Moore, Willie Moore, Anna L. Moore (Hill), James M. Washington, Charles Washington, and Roy A. Washington.

We will always cherish her memory, your children: Marvin Hall, DaRon Hall, Leondria (John) Webb, & Dr. Eddie L. Brown. Adored grandchildren: Peyton, LeeShira, Tatyana, Anthonee, Marvin Jr., Samuel, Sobe, Jordan, & Keris. Great-Grandchildren: Nykeela, Josiah, Amaree, Sarai, & Armonie; and a host of neices and nephews.

Helen graduated from Austin-East High School (1970). She continued to further her education at Knoxville College & Draughon's Business College. She established her career with Knoxville Community Development Corporation (KCDC) as a Receptionist. After retirement, Helen spent the rest of her days enjoying life. A people's person, she spent time with family & friends. She loved hard. Helen made her entrance known when entering the room, greeting you with a smile, a simple hello, or asking how you are. After relocating to Suffolk, Virginia, Helen made a new family, becoming an honorary member by adoption of Derty Rydaz MC & the community in which she lived (Magnolia Gardens). Helen was always preparing meals, giving rides, making calls, & visiting. She always stayed in touch with family & friends back home (Knoxville). Helen always spoke her mind, which was a reflection of her heart.

She will be missed dearly. Forever & always in our hearts.
