Hugh Alexander Finley, 71, of Cleveland, TN, passed away on February 13, 2023, at his home.  
Hugh was born October 5, 1951, in Summerville, Georgia. He was the last boy born to the late Thelmer and Vivian Louise Finley. He graduated from Chattooga County High School. Hugh was a proud United States Air Force veteran who served during the Vietnam conflict. He loved softball and played for many years for Maytag. He retired from Maytag after 25 years to pursue his dream of being an over-the-road truck driver.  

Hugh was an easygoing man of few words. He was a proud father and papaw who enjoyed cruising around the city and listening to music. He was an avid sports fan who loved partaking in friendly sports betting. He was the “cool uncle” who was loved and adored by all his nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Hugh was also preceded in death by his sisters, Beatrice Sharp, Emma Cox, and Cavalier Martin.

Left to cherish his memories are his loving, devoted daughter, Juquita Finley-Constant; stepson, Tyson Constant; grandchildren, Taiya Constant and Raulan Lovelace; sisters, Helen L. Bowerman and Daphne Morrison; brothers, Larry Waldo Finley, Carlton Woodrow Finley (Pearl), Timothy Finley, Sr. (Lindra), and Sanford Finley (Sophie); devoted nephew, Tennille Hudgins; devoted friend, Louvenia Wells; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Body may be viewed Saturday, February 18, 2023  from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00p.m. at the Patton Funeral Home Chapel, 265 Fair Street S. E., Cleveland Tennessee.

Family will receive friends Sunday, February 19, 2023 from 1:30 p.m. until service time, 2:30 p.m. at St. James Cumberland Presbyterian Church in America, 151 Short Street, Cleveland, TN.
