Mrs. Ida Mae E. Crump "Doll" Dixson, native of Knoxville, Tennessee entered into this life on August 23, 1931, and took her eternal rest on April 30, 2022 at her home surrounded by family. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, the late Rev. Arthur S. Dixson Sr.; parents, Alvin and Eula Green Crump; siblings, Alberta, Archibald "Bud", Carrie, Ruth, Joe Louis, James Robert Jr., Dorothy Laverne, Deloris, Marian, Edward Lee "Tim"; 2 infant siblings; grandsons, Demarcus, and Timothy Dixon; great grandsons, Kaydren Johnson ; son-in-law, Charles "Eddie" Bryant.
She leaves to cherish her memories; children, Charles Alvin, Arthur Charles Davis, Arthur C) Dixson Jr (Peewee), of Knoxville TN, Angel D (Jerome) Coakley of Saginaw Michigan, Glorious (Kenneth Sr.) Gilmore of Knoxville TN, Cynthia (James) Anthony of Alcoa TN, Rev. Hugh (Priscilla) Dixson, Tina Bryant, Viola (Stanley) Johnson Sr. and Ruth (Marcus) Leverett all of Knoxville TN. ;22 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren and host of nieces, nephews and other family members too numerous to mention.
Saturday, May 7, 20212 family and friends will receive from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Greater Warner Tabernacle A.M.E. Zion Church, 3800 Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue, Knoxville, TN. Social distancing and face coverings are required. A funeral service will follow with Rev. Hugh Dixon, eulogist and Rev. Dr. Cleo Brooks, pastor.
