Inez Hardin Obituary

Inez Natalie Mitchell Hardin, age 92, passed away peacefully at home on January 11, 2019. She was born May 16, 1926 to the late Robert F. Mitchell, Sr. and Harriet "Hattie" Forgey Mitchell. Inez graduated Austin High School, Class of 1944. With her husband Clarence, they operated Hardin's Package Store for several years.

Preceded in death by husbands, Johnnie James and later Clarence R. Hardin; parents; brothers, Joseph A. Sr, and Robert F. Jr. and Charles E. Mitchell; two special friends, Herman Martin, Sr. and Fannie McKinney.

Survived by loving and devoted daughter, Harriet E. Jones (Charles); grandsons, Charles A., III and Johnnie W. (Christy) Jones; 5 great grandchildren; a host of family and friends to include devoted friend, Kenneth Bussell.

Tuesday, January 22, 2019, the family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. with funeral to follow at Tabernacle Baptist Church, 2137 MLK Jr. Avenue, Knoxville, TN. Pastor Christopher R. Battle, Sr, Senior Pastor and Reverend Christopher Snow, Eulogist. Interment will immediately follow at Bethlehem Cemetery where a white dove release will conclude the service.
