Isiah Lorenz Jones, departed this life on July 18, 2018 at the University of Tennessee hospital in Knoxville, Tennessee. He was born July 4, 1998 at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge, Tennessee to April Davidson Chrisco and Richard Jones.
He was a very talented athlete. As a child he played football and basketball at the boys club in Oak Ridge. He also played with the Raiders AAU basketball team out of Oak Ridge and the Raiders youth football team in Knoxville. He also played AAU with several different teams. He was known as Zay Zay. He went to Rockwood high school and Oak Ridge high school where he played football and basketball. He was an all sports player. He had a big heart that goes along with his big smile that would melt your heart. When he got out of high school he started getting into music and he played for the semi pro league football team known as the Bombers. Zay Zay was also known as Jonesy.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Isaiah and Rosie-Lee Jones and nephew, Kaleel Love.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories: a very devoted mother and father, April Davidson Chrisco of Knoxville, Tennessee and Richard (Janet) Jones of Oak Ridge, Tennessee. Grandparents: Ralph Davidson, Sr. and Mae (Glenn) Gabriel all of Rockwood, Tennessee; Siblings, Ellery Harvest and Preston Harvest of Rockwood, Tennessee, Keonna Garner, Esaias Chrisco and Shadreck Chrisco of Knoxville, Tennessee, Tevin Springs and Amanda Springs of Oak Ridge, Tennessee; Nieces and nephews, Kymani, Kymaria, Kymerius, Brody, K’alyah, Carlito, Calleigh, Kinsley, and Eleanore; A special friend Alisha Demaree and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
Tuesday, July 31, 2018, the family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with service to follow at Mount Zion Baptist Church, 195 Wilberforce Avenue, Oak Ridge, TN 37830. Elder T.L. Mims, Pastor and Reverend James Brady Springs, Eulogist. Interment will immdiately follow at Oak Ridge Memorial Park where a white dove release will conclude the service.
