Missionary Ivey E Pinkard was born into this world on August 16, 1957 to the parents Mr. Moses Huff and Priscilla Moore in Chattanooga, TN. She was later blessed with her brother Donald. Ivey completed all of her education in Chattanooga and upon graduating from City High School, she attended Chattanooga Community College.
Ivey was blessed to be taken to Antioch Baptist Church by her grandparents where she learned many hymns. She was blessed with a beautiful voice which was a blessing at her local church as well as the high school choir.
In 1975 Ivey joined Holy Temple Church Of God In Christ where the Bishop James M. Scott, Sr. was the pastor and became a blessing to that church and to the Chattanooga District. She worked in many of the auxiliaries and was very instrumental with the youth of the church. Her love for the youth included her employment with child care at the Children’s Home in Chattanooga, TN from 1976 to 1989.
Missionary Pinkard married Minister Glenn S Pinkard in March 1979 and went on to give birth to three beautiful daughters: Adrienne, Catherine and Marie. She was a faithful wife and when her husband’s job took him to different areas, she was ready and willing to tackle the adventures that lay ahead.

In 1989, her husband was transferred to the Knoxville area and settled at Smith Chapel Church Of God In Christ under District Supt. Willie C Allen, where Missionary Pinkard continued to work faithfully in the church. Missionary Pinkard continued her education in the field of cosmetology. She graduated from Draughn’s School of Cosmetology and worked for a few years styling hair at various salons, including JC Penney’s in the 1990s. In 1992 Missionary Pinkard returned to the campus to study and receive her instructor’s license. 
In 2009, new opportunities arose in Kansas City Missouri where Elder and Missionary Pinkard joined the Historical Boone Tabernacle Church Of God In Christ under the leadership of Bishop L F Thuston, who is Prelate of Kansas East Jurisdiction. Through her work and diligence, Missionary Pinkard was noticed and provided an opportunity to serve those in need at the Lawrence A Jones Funeral, where she served for four years.

Missionary Pinkard continued to work diligently as she always has. She was faithful with attendance of the services. Whatever she was called on to do, her hands were found faithful performing that service, such as teaching Sunday School Class, Purity Class, YWCC Dept., the Mother’s Board, Choir, and several additional Auxiliaries.  
Additional services Missionary Pinkard provided to the church were singing, sewing, cooking, organizing church functions, arranging and decorating fellowship centers for various functions. She also cut and styled hair, loved to sing hymns, participate with the praise service, work the alter, encourage the saints, teach holiness, faithful attendant of Bible Study services, supported her Pastor’s repast each Sunday, supported her Jurisdictional Hospitality Department faithfully. She also worked with the National Registration Dept in Memphis, TN. She did all of this with great joy. 
Last but not least, Missionary Pinkard loved her family. She enjoyed taking trips, spending time with her grandchildren, bragging on her children, sing-alongs, family game nights and encouraging her husband. Although she may not have always wanted to, she would cook whenever her girls asked her to. She made sure her family was taken care of and expressed her love for her family in her acts of service.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Moses Huff and Priscilla Moore and her brother Donald Moore. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Elder Glenn Pinkard (Kansas City); daughters, Adrienne (Atlanta), Catherine (Knoxville), and Marie (Oak Ridge); Grandchildren Sidney, Beneva, and Romare of Oak Ridge; aunts, Heleaner Trollinger and Denise Beasley of Chattanooga along with a host of cousins.
