Jacques McMahan

October 2, 1964 ~ February 7, 2020 (age 55)


  Jacques McMahan age 55, passed away Saturday, February 8, at Chattanooga Memorial Hospital.  He was born to the late Minister Robert E. and Betty Woods-McMahan.                                                                                              

He is preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Gary McMahan, Perez McMahan; aunts, Mary Ellen Woods, Binnie May, Margaret Mack, and Huncie Mack-Smith; uncles, Nathaniel Owen, James Woods, John Lee Mack, and Walter Lee Mack; stepdaughter, Le'ona Carpenter.

Jacques was a graduate of Cleveland High School class of 1983, where he played football and excelled in the positions of quarterback, linebacker, and running back.  He enjoyed all sports from a very young age, as a child he play softball and football.  His favorite team was the Georgia Bulldogs.   

He was employed with the Maytag Corporation for over 20 years.           

Having a Pastor as a father, Jacques grew up in a Christian environment, believing in Jesus Christ.  Him being the baby of six boys who was raised by a loving mother who taught her sons to make provision for themselves, he learned to cook and that became his specialty.  He enjoyed barbecuing and his favorite pass time was watching the Food Network Channel.                                                                                                                                         

He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Vickeisha Lovelady-McMahan; stepdaughter, Diamond Lovelady and LaKeisha Looney; stepsons, Anthony Armstrong, Miles Looney, and Elijah Lovelady; grandchildren, Marre'ona Carpenter, and Austin Dodd Jr.; brothers, LaMotta (Denita) McMahan, Robert (Gean) McMahan, and Anthony McMahan; aunt, Daisy Mack; mother and father-in-law, Reverend David (Joan) Steward; sister-in-law, Denisesha (Bryon) Gunn; brothers-in-law, Kevin Steward, and Corey Lovelady; special friend, Tony Wells; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

    Body may be viewed Friday, February 21 from 12:00 noon until 6:00p.m.. at the Patton Funeral Home Chapel, 265 Fair Street S.E. Cleveland,     Tn.
