My name is Jalaiyah Miracle Rowland. I was born at twenty-three weeks to Vyron Rowland and Jermeshia Burton. The doctors said I wouldn't live to be one year old, but prayers to God from my family said differently. After twenty-two plus brain surgeries and several stomach surgeries, God decided otherwise, and I peacefully slept away on May 31, 2022. I know my family is missing me, along with my parents and step-dad Devon Burton.
I will forever cherish my great-grandparents, Willie (Melba) Merritt and Henry (Annie) Rowland, all from Greensboro, Georgia, William Fuller of Suitland, Maryland, and Jo-Ann Fuller; grandparents, Henry and Linda Rowland, Greensboro, Georgia; Nanna Cynthia Fuller, Modesto, California; Mimi, Latonya Goines, and granddad Curtis King of Laverne, TN; aunt, Jasmine (Steven) Ray, Chattanooga, TN, Jackie Rowland; uncle, Kenneth Merritt of Greensboro, Georgia; great aunts, La-Wan (Donald) Swaggerty, Robin Smith, Angelia McClanahan, Stephanie (James) Dowtin of Hyattsville, Maryland, and Nadine Riley; great uncle, Charles Fuller of Capitol Heights, Maryland; sisters, JaRyiah and DeyNiah Burton; brother, Vadin Rowland. A host of special aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends that are sad but know I'm with God now, and it will be okay.
