Jarvis Harris Obituary

Jarvis "Twin-B" Daran Harris, age 36 was born March 18, 1986 to his loving parents Rachelle Harris and Travis Beal; devoted aunt/mom Rowena Harris Lundy. After seven years of fighting chronic heart disease, he transitioned from labor to reward on January 2, 2023.

Jarvis was a loving father, brother, nephew, and son. He loved the Lord and believed in the power of prayer and was a member of Eternal Life Harvest Center.

Jarvis had a contagious smile and was shy but was the life of the party. Yellow was his favorite color, the color of light. He was left-handed and was a talented and gifted artist. His artwork was featured in the Dr. MLK Exposé Art Show.

Jarvis was an outstanding athlete in every sport. Together Twin A & Twin B broke the 4x4 record at Gibbs High School. Both were also recruited to play football at MTSU. Jarvis was a diehard Green Bay Packer "Cheese Head" and Laker’s fan and, his favorite players were Aaron Rodgers and Kobe Bryant. In march he celebrated his birthday with Twin A and the entire month of March Madness.

Jarvis burned most of the foods he tried to cook, but he loved anything spicey and he especially loved hot wings. He would challenge his brother to see who was champ in hot food contests. His favorite vacation spot was at the beach.

He loved his family and his friends; and his favorite phrase was, “love you man.” Jarvis and Jervis considered themselves Bones, Thugs & Harmony after meeting the group in Ohio. Jarvis loved listening to music. His favorite songs included: Crossroads, The First of the Month and For the Love of Money. One of his favorite rappers was Tupac Shukar and he even named one of his sons after him. His favorite movies included: Juice, Boys in the Hood, Sandlot, Four Brothers and Friday. He spent much of his leisure time playing video games, Madden – Call of Duty.

In addition to being known as Twin B, Jarvis was also called Baldy and Skinny Daddy.

In 2008, his brother Steven was tattooed with the word, “B4L,” meaning “Brothers For Life.” Then Jarvis, Jervis and Jamah each got the same tattoo.

Jarvis was a graduate of Carter High School class of 2004, and attended ETSU and Pellissippi State Community College. He was an exemplary employee of UPS for nearly twenty years.
