Javon Milik Ellis went to be with his Lord and Savior on July 22, 2023. Milik was 32 years old. Milik had many nicknames: “Ellis”, “Ello”, “Big Ellis”, “Uncle Leek Leek”, and “Rocky Top.”
Milik was born on May 15, 1991, the second child of Nicole Cain and Jackie Ellis. Though born in Knoxville, Tennessee, he spent his childhood in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, and was a 2009 graduate of Clinton High School. He attended Tennessee State University with a focus on Business Studies. Milik was a great athlete in his youth. He was a standout at Oak Ridge High School before going to Clinton High School for his senior football season. He led his team to a win over his friends and former teammates beating Oak Ridge his senior season.
Milik was an avid sports fan from a young age and passionately supported all Tennessee sports. He enjoyed cheering on the Vols at Neyland Stadium and watching the Titans and the Memphis Grizzlies play. Milik’s dedication to Tennessee was unwavering.
Milik was last employed by Harris Landscaping in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.
Milik is preceded in death by his grandparents, James and Lurana Ellis; aunts Charlene Dickerson and Jenelle Williams.
