Jennie Lynn Cornelius, age 81, passed away November 19, 2019 at Fort Sanders Regional Hospital. “Mama Jen” was born June 26, 1938 in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. Before relocating to Knoxville, she worked in the Food Service Department with Mecklenburg County School System. She was a faithful member of Fern Street Missionary Baptist Church.

Preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Lee Cornelius, Sr.; granddaughter, Shanerrick Twitty; parents, Jethro and Beatrice Twitty Donaldson; sisters, Alma L. Twitty-Hill and Alice L. Twitty-Lowery; brother, Frank Twitty and aunt, Daisy Oliver.

Survived by children, Sandra Donaldson-Reed, Roberta and Karen Twitty, Lonnie, Jr., Janet and Mary Cornelius; grandchildren; great grandchildren; a host of other family and friends to include her church family.

Tuesday, November 26, 2019, the family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 with a memorial service to follow at Fern Street Missionary Baptist Church, 121 Fern Street, Knoxville, TN 37914.
