John Earl Davidson, age 76, of Knoxville, TN, entered eternal rest on March 3, 2025, at Parkwest Medical Center. Born 04/12/1948 to the late Leather Davidson and Lenetta Shackelford Davidson. He was the oldest of 7 siblings. John was loved by many in the community and at the plant. He dedicated 40yrs at Y-12 facilities To include first African American president of The International Guards Union of America. Numerous security divisions, a long-term member of the FOP, many professional leadership organizations, and Church committees. He graduated from Austin High Class of 1966. He was a current member of Friendship Baptist church in Lonsdale. 

John was preceded in death by parents Leather and Lenetta Davidson, sisters Annette and Shirley, brother Elise Davidson, wife Roberta McPherson Davidson, grandmother Virginia Lee, and aunt Lennie McGallry. 

He leaves to share his memories with daughters Valerie (Davidson) and Johnette Davidson (Tim, d. 2011) Anderson of Louisville, Ky. Loving grandchildren  Desteania (Irick) Blair, Angelica (Wesley)Adams, Tionna Jones, Simone (Miriah) Davis-Roberts, Moses Davis, Jemyri’ Davis, Israel Davis, Brionna Anderson, Timothy Anderson, Tyra Anderson, and Shaun Anderson; brother Ernest “Jimmy” (Saundra) Davidson of Detroit, MI; sisters Margaret "DeeDee" (Mack) Dooley of Detroit, MI, Retha Cobb of Knoxville, Cleo Mickle of Texas. A host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and devoted friends, too numerous to name.
