John William Harshaw

John William Harshaw (Crow) – age 82, of Knoxville, departed this life on Wednesday, May 11th, 2022, surrounded by his family at the University of Tennessee Medical Center.

He was born to parents, John William and Junetta Taylor Harshaw, on January 5th, 1940, in Middlesboro, Kentucky. John graduated from Lincoln High School class of 1958. John received his Bachelor of Science degree in education with honors from the University of Tennessee. He was a member of the Prince Hall Masonic Lodge of Freemasonry. He retired from his supervisory role at Y-12 after 25 years. 
He is preceded in death by his parents John William and Junetta Harshaw, and ex-wife Geraldine F. Harshaw.
      
  John is survived by two sons, Victor E. Harshaw and John K. Harshaw; daughter, Robin D (Charles) Stephens; brother, Gerald Harshaw (Jerry); grandchildren, Antwon B, Victoria D, LaKeshia V. Harshaw, John K. Jr., Kurtis L, Kendrick D. Harshaw, Zachary D.L. Rogers, Alandrea D, Janeeva R, Charles Jr., Ahjanai C. Stephens, Kenyatta L. Stephens, Kaniya Johnson; seventeen great-grandchildren, one great great granddaughter; step-sister, Diane Harshaw, several aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, great-nieces, nephews, devoted cousins,  devoted friends, Class of 1958, Heath and Latitia Harper. 

Monday  May 23, 2022, family and friends will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Payne Avenue Baptist Church, 2714 Martin Luther King, Jr. Avenue, Knoxville, TN. Social distancing and face coverings required. Funeral service to follow with Reverend R.S. Brown, Jr. as  eulogist. Flowers may be delivered to the church prior to the viewing.
