Juanita Avery Obituary

Juanita (Hall) Avery of Knoxville, Tennessee, went home to be with the lord on Wednesday, September 27, 2023. Juanita was a steadfast, faithful Christian and dedicated member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed gospel music, shopping, traveling, and a good Coca-Cola. She was born to the late Reverend Ernest and Willie May Hall.

Preceded in death by daughters, Wanda Mitchell, Launda Smith; grandson Dominique Johnson, Andrea T. Bias Jr.; granddaughter Jatreya Bradley; great-granddaughter Mikeyiah Tate; and eight sisters and five brothers.

She leaves to cherish her memory devoted daughters Zena (Fate) Moulden, LaVette Ligon, Karen Workman; special granddaughter Dannisha (Anthony) McAlister; great-grandchildren, Brooklyn & Omarian Wright and Adan & Amoni McAlister; eleven grandchildren, thirty-six great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren; special friends Larry Parks and Joyce Underwood and lastly, devoted niece Shirley Mack.

She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and her church family from the New Hope Missionary Baptist Church.
