Obituary


Julius Johnson Jr., affectionately known as “PB”., departed this life on Friday, June 10, 2022, at his residence in Knoxville, TN. PB was born October 2, 1950, to Julius Sr. and Mildred Johnson in Knoxville, TN. He was one of 10 Children. He attended the Knoxville City School system. PB loved music, his family, animals, and fishing and will be missed by all. He loved talking about the Lord with his daughter.


He leaves behind his daughter, Latreca Pettigrew; son, Brandon (Ann) Johnson; nine grandchildren; Miranda Woods, Austin Epp, Erica Epps, Keshawn Pettigrew, Tasha, and Nasha Johnson, Jabari Simmons, Layla Simmons, and Lizzie Johnson; brother, Martin Yarbrough; sisters, Charlotte Yarbrough Jackson, Barbara Imes, and Juliette Johnson Hamilton. A host of nieces and nephews.


Saturday, June 18, 2022, family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Rogers Memorial Baptist Church, 520 College Street, Knoxville, TN 37921. Social distancing and face coverings required. A Celebration of Life will follow. Minister Richard Yarbrough, eulogist. Flowers may be delivered to the church prior to the viewing.
