A native of Lowndes County, Alabama was born June 20, 1921 to the late Neal and Kitty Harris. She accepted Christ at a young age and joined New Pleasant Valley A.M.E Zion Church.
In 1945 she relocated to Oak Ridge, TN where she united with the Oak Valley Baptist Church. She was a faithful member of the Adult Sunday School and Guiding Light Circle until her health began to fail.
After 39 years of service she retired from K-25 in Oak Ridge TN.
She was preceded in death by son, Frank; granddaughters; Gloria, Genite and Alfredia; grandson, Joseph; great grandson, Marquise, two brothers and eight sisters.
She leaves to cherish her memories, son, Robert Davis, Oak Ridge, TN; daughter, Willie Mae (Willie) Starks, Elyria, Ohio.Sister, Elnora Davis, Birmingham, Alabama.Ten grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren, thirty-seven great great grandchildren, one great great great grand. Thursday, March 17, 2022, a public walkthrough begins at 10:00 a.m. at Oak Valley Baptist Church, 194 Hampton Road, Oak Ridge, TN. Adhering to COVID-19 protocol, social distancing and face coverings are required. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m with Pastor Derrick Hammond as the eulogist.
