Kenneth Dotson

Kenneth Maurice Dotson, was born November 5, 1954, to the late Elder Alma Dotson Harrison and Henry Clay Dotson, Sr in Knoxville, Tn. He graduated from Austin East High School in 1972 where he was a member of the Austin-East track team. As a teenager Kenneth enjoyed playing basketball with his cousins. Kenneth was good hearted; he loved his family, and he loved the Lord.

Kenneth grew up in the House of God church where he acknowledged the Lord Jesus as his personal Savior and later accepted the call to ministry. Kenneth was from a well-known family of great musicians and Gospel singers. He loved sharing the word of God, playing his guitar, and blowing his harmonica in the church.

Kenneth was preceded in death by both parents; brothers, Henry Dotson of Nashville, TN and Henry Clay Dotson, Jr. of Knoxville, TN and sisters, Sandra Netherland and Audrey Taylor.

He leaves to cherish his memory: sisters, Frances (Donald) Richie and Faye (Willie) Scudder; uncles, Royce and Lee Wright; aunts, Mae Frances Smith and Margaret McCannley, all of Knoxville; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends too numerous to name.
