Kerial Shanice Latrend Petitt went to be with the Lord on December 15, 2021. Kerial was born on November 30, 1991, to Eugene Petitt and Sonya Lee in Knoxville, TN. She graduated from Jefferson County High School, Class of 2010, and Virginia College in 2015 with her business degree. She previously worked at GC Services and was currently employed at Wakefield and Associates.
She accepted Christ and became a member of Foster Chapel Baptist Church on May 11, 1997. She was active in various ministries: Raqad Dance, Young Adult Choir, Bible Quiz, and Usher Board. She was an avid dancer with the West African Dance Company. Other pastimes she enjoyed were cooking, being a loving Godmother, family gatherings and organizing special events.
Preceded in death by her Grandfathers, Eugene A. Petitt, Sr. and John A. Lee; Grandmothers, Elizabeth T. Petitt and Mary N. Lee, and Aunt, Karen D. Petitt.
Left to treasure her memory: Fiancé, David McWilson, Jr.; Son, Josiah Amir McWilson; Father, Eugene A. Petitt, Jr.; Mother, Sonya Lee (John) Wilson; Godparents, Ted “Papa” and Brenda “Nana” Chandler; Siblings, Devin and Destiny Cullom, Chase, Shanika, Sherry, and Jasmine Wilson. Eugene Jr., Reginald, Dniesha and Tyler Petitt; Godchildren, Ka’Mani Hodge, Ka’Leyah and DeWayne McGill; Uncles and Aunts, Yolanda Petitt, Dexter (Jennifer) Richey, Charles Payne, Tonya (Robert) Chandler, Latoya (Sanford) Miller, Bernell (Jermain) Jackson, Valerie (Darryl) Stewart, Debra Tate, Kelly Tate, and Robin Tate, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and numerous friends.
Wednesday, December 22, 2021, a public walkthrough scheduled from 6:00p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Foster Chapel Baptist Church, 2101 Ault Road, Knoxville, TN. Social distancing and face coverings required. Funeral service to follow for immediate family and close friends. Reverend Joseph Tolbert will officiate. Flowers may be delivered to the church day of the service.
