January 16, 1960 ~ July 4, 2021 (age 61)


Kimberly Diane Watkins, born January 16, 1960, lost her battle to cancer on July 4, 2021.

She was preceded in death by her children, DeAnna and Danuelle Parton; great grandson, DeCorian Hawkins, Jr.; parents, Roy Chester Watkins and Annie Berry; brother, Howard Sanford; sister, Barbara King and the love of her life, Danny Parton.

She leaves to cherish her memory: daughter, Kendra Watkins; adopted son, Darius Kyle; devoted grandson, DeCorian Hawkins; grandchildren, Christopher Siler, Jr., Kyera Watkins, DeQuasha Parton and Alexander Hansard; great grandchildren, Braelynn Siler, Daniel Prince, Darius Kyle, Jr., Anthony Jackson and Antoine Washington; sisters, Martha (Louis) Smith, Dorothy (James) Moore and Pearlie Moore; brothers, Willie (Shirley) Sanford and Jackie Watkins; sisters-in-law, Doris (Rudolph) Smith and Debbie (Larry) Love; a host of nieces, nephews and friends to include devoted friends, who were like family, Gwen Bowen, Angela Mobley, David Lyons, Carl Bylin, Chris Siler, Brianna Stevenson, Eric (Joan) Washington and Shantoria Smith.

Friday, July 16, 2021,  a public walkthrough is scheduled from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Foster Chapel Baptist Church, 2101 Ault Road Knoxville, TN. Social distancing and face coverings are required.  A service will follow for immediate family and close friends with Pastor Joseph Tolbert as the eulogist.  Interment at Mount Olive Cemetery, 2400 Berry Road, Knoxville, TN, where a white dove release will conclude the service.  Flowers may be delivered to the church the morning of the walkthrough.
