Kimmerita Clemons Moss Obituary

Kimmerita Jan Clemons Moss departed this life on March 9, 2021.  She was born September 11, 1956 to Hubert and Marjorie Howard Clemons in Knoxville, Tennessee.  As a child, Kim was very curious.  Growing up, Kim was also very vocal and a high-spirited person.  Never being one to shy away from expressing her opinion, she would always tell you the truth and back it up with facts!  Kim was her own woman in every sense.

Being a mother is what made her the happiest.  She was a loving mother and the best grandmother, “Nana.”  Kim was devoted to her family and loved them dearly.

Preceded in death by her son, Harry O. Clemons Upshaw; granddaughter, DeShawnte “Tay” Murphy; parents, Hubert and Marjorie Clemons; brothers, James Bowman and Daral Clemons; nephew, Esley Clemons, Jr.; aunt, Barbara Brinson and uncles, Emmanuel Howard and Jimmy Carter.

Left to cherish her memory: son, Deshawn Christopher Clemons, Sr.; grandchildren, Krishea Clemons, Deshawn Christopher Clemons Banks, Elijah Mitchell, Deshawn Christopher “CJ” Clemons, Jr., Aeriyuanna Jones, Ka'Nyree Gordon, Jabriee Curry, Aayan Gillis and Harlum Jones; sisters, Boundra Bowman, Vanessa Clemons Teasley and Jennie Clemons; brothers, Herbert Clemons and Esley Clemons, Sr.; devoted family and friends to include, Samuel Moss, Ms. Vick, Ayaunna, Toshea, Dennis Jones, and the Carter, Howard, Mack and Branner families.
