Larry Peck

Larry Wayne “Gramps” Peck departed this life on August 27, 2022, at his home. Born March 17, 1959, he was the sixth of eight children to the late Harrison Edward Sr. and Nan Marie Chesney Peck. Gramps had a love for reading his Bible, hanging with his friends, the Cincinnati Reds, the UT Volunteers and his family. 

As a youth, Gramps enjoyed playing with hot wheels, listening to music and dancing.

Gramps was preceded in death by his father, mother, brother Harrison Edward Jr ‘Puti’ Peck, sister Patricia Ann ‘Darlin’ Peck, and great nephew Jamal Peck. 

He leaves to cherish precious memories sisters: Sharon Peck-Billings, Vickie Peck McClellan, and Teresa Peck, brothers: William (Thelma) Peck and Timothy (Marilyn) Peck, aunts: Margaret McCannelly and Gwen Chesney, nieces: Nicole Peck, Shetara (Richard) Weaver, Erika Seay, Emma Hayes, Trennille McClellan, Sherese Crain, Marie (Brandon) Wilkerson, nephews: Harrison (Alexis) Peck III, Moise Nicolas, J. Corey (Toya) Peck, Justus Hayes, Jeremy (Adrienne) McClellan, Mattison Randolph, William Peck Jr, Travis Harris, Jamarcus (Jennifer) Billings and Timothy Peck Jr. Great nieces: Natalia, Evely and Catalina Peck, Prayer Mae and Queen Lingo, Asia Weaver, Kearstyn Seay, E’Nyra Hayes, Paradise and Promise Peck, Chesney and Chennille McClellan, Braylin, Brielle and Brazeal Wilkerson, Kiera Harris, Isis and Love Billings. Great nephews: Dominic and Gabriel Peck, Dennis ‘Tre’ and Ja’Kobi Troutman, Caleb Seay, Pharoah Peck, Champion and Chieftain McClellan, Jordan Peck, SirDevin Peck, Jaylon and JaDarias Harris, King and Chief Billings, and many cousins and friends including his Morningside Garden neighbors, whom he loved dearly.

Tuesday, September 6, 2022, family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. to 12::00 p.m. at Greater Ebenezer Baptist Church, 1912 E 5th Ave., Knoxville, TN. A Celebration of Life to follow with Elder James R. Rice, eulogist. Interment to follow at New Gray Cemetery, 2724 Western Ave, Knoxville, TN, where a white dove release will conclude the service.
