Lesley Underwood

Lesley Underwood, 55, entered into eternal peace on Thursday, Oct. 28, 2021.

Lesley was born on Oct. 21, 1966, in Chattanooga, to Mary Alline Smith and Henry Robinson.

Lesley was preceded in death by her mother, Alline Smith; grandmother, Lottie Mae Elder; grandfather and grandmother, Henry (Ella) Robinson Sr.; and aunt, Joyce Motten.

Lesley was a 1984 graduate of Cleveland High School and was a member of the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church Family, where she sang in the choir. She carried an infectious smile and never met a stranger. She loved cooking, was gifted in making homemade cakes, and she made the best potato salad.

Lesley leaves to cherish her memories, her father, Henry (Helen) Robinson; daughter, Rhonda Underwood; son, Jermaine Underwood; two granddaughters, whom she loved very much: Len'Asia and Lennix Coleman; two sisters: Shryle (Randy) Runyons, and Dynisha (Chris) Myers; one brother, Vinson Waller; her nephews: Markeze (Brogan) Harper and Vinson Waller Jr.; nieces: Randi Chiesa, Ja'myia Murphy and Haley Waller; special aunts: Paulette Goldston, Linda Petty; aunts: Shirley (Austin) Morgan, Jacqueline (Grady) Harris, Patricia Jarrett, and Nancy (Thomas) Massengill; uncle, David (Sharon) Piersaul; special cousins: Gail Mason, Stephanie Adams, Tara, Tonia and Tamika Elder; best friends: Lisa Staton and Becky Sprague; and other relatives and friends.

Family visitation will be today, Nov. 2, 2021, at 11 a.m., with service to follow at 11:30 a.m. at the Patton Funeral Home Chapel, 265 Fair Street S.E., Cleveland, Tennessee. The Rev. Alfred B. Johnson Sr. will give Word of Comfort.
