Lillie Easterly Widener Obituary
Mrs. Lillie Easterly Widener quietly transitioned from her earthly home to her heavenly home on June 16, 2023, with her loving husband at her side. Lillie was born and raised in Knoxville, TN, attended Eastport Elementary, Tyson Junior High School and graduated from Fulton High School, class of 1979. She furthered her education at Knoxville Business College. After the completion of her studies, she was later employed by Knoxville Medical Center, Tennessee Valley Bank,Security Finance and the Medical Office of Dr. Blake.
Lillie was a cherished wife, devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend. She was a beautiful soul, always kind and giving. Her family was her pride and joy and she loved to travel, shop and host family events. Her heart was her grandchildren. At an early age, she accepted Christ and was a member of Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church where she served on the culinary committee.
Lillie was proceeded in death by her mother Ms. Willis Mae Easterly, grandparents Hubert and Katherine Easterly and son Maurice Widener.
Left to cherish her memory is her devoted husband of Thirty (30) years, Donald Widener, three loving sons, Julian (Shanti) Widener, Christopher (Trushae) Elsberry, and Derrel (Britney) Elsberry and one brother Allan (Mandi) Sudderth. Grandchildren Izaiah Ryan, Jaymija Glass, Jamya Widener, Christopher Elsberry Jr., Jayce Weaver, TruVon Elsberry, Derrel Elsberry Jr., Krishae Elsberry, Savannah Widener, Hope Elsberry and one great grandson, Jaden Moore Jr. Brother-in law, Victor (Katherine) Dubose of California, Allan (Tammy) Dubose and Keith Dubose both of Clevland Ohio. Sister in laws; Kathy Hart, Winston Salem NC, and Lynn (Wesley) Clemons of Atlanta, Georgia, a Host of other Family, Friends and cousins to include devoted Childhood Friend Terri J. Carlock-Lomax, Pamela Harris Woodfin, Carol Looney, Janice Davis other childhood friend and cousin’s Kim Kearney and Wilma Siler, the Easterly, Widener and Elsberry Families, the Class of 1979 and the Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church Family.
