Ms. Linda Faye Lightfoot, age 72, entered eternal rest September 21, 2021, at home, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born June 30, 1949, to Mr. Earl Lightfoot Sr. and Mrs. Mary Lightfoot in Huntsville, Alabama. She attended school in Huntsville, Alabama and in Knoxville, Tennessee. She would later join Smith Chapel Church of God in Knoxville. She worked for the Peroulas family for many years.
Linda Faye had the unique ability to make people laugh. Whether it was her animated stories about her life or her silly antics, she was the life of the party!
Preceded in death by son, Robert “Duro” Lightfoot; grandson, Alashajuan Lightfoot Jr.; father, Earl Lightfoot Sr.; mother, Mary Lightfoot; grandparents. Essie Holloway, Marie Braggs, and Andrew Taylor Sr. and lifelong partner, Harry Ealey.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory: children: Nina (Arthur) Bryant, Kristi Lightfoot (Jason Lakes); grandchildren, Devin, Orlando, Valencia, Alashajuan, Chrizemine, Jameshia and Rian; great grandchildren, Jamya, Tre, Devin Jr., Devrie, Landon, A’naury, Jatera, De’niyla, Nylah, Braylyyn, A’lasia, Jadah, Roland, Bri’Yah, Brayden, David and Zalivah; sisters, Regenia, Patricia, Gloria, Brenda and Peggy; brother, Earl Lightfoot III of New Orleans, LA; devoted friends, Patricia Waymon and Sarah Branner; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other friends too many to name.

Wednesday, September 29, 2021, a public walkthrough is scheduled from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Greater Warner Tabernacle A.M.E. Zion Church, 3800 Martin Luther King, Jr. Avenue, Knoxville, TN. Social distancing and face coverings are required. A graveside service will follow at New Gray Cemetery, 2724 Western Avenue, Knoxville, TN, where a white dove release will conclude the service.
