Lydia Blakely

Lydia Victoria Blakely, 60, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, May 21, 2022. She was born July 25, 1961, to the late Amos Sr. and Anna Louise Manning in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Lydia was a graduate of Austin-East High School class of 1979. She was employed by the United States Postal Service and previously worked at Levi Strauss and Company. Lydia was a faithful member of New Heights House of Worship. She loved The Lord, which was evident in how she spread love to people. She was quick to give to others and never missed an opportunity to show kindness and help someone in need.
Lydia is preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Amos C. Manning, Jr. and George Manning, Sr.

Lydia was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She leaves to cherish her memory daughter, Victoria Blakely; 3 grandchildren, Jeremiah, Brianna, and JaNya; two brothers, Robert Manning and James (Debra) Manning; six sisters, Annette Teasley, Maxine Winston, Gail Sullivan, Gwen Manning, Joyce (Michael) Scruggs and Deborah (Darryl) Anthony; aunt, Sonya Armstrong; and a host of other relatives and close friends to include, Nate and Joyce Sumpter, Gary and Renee Bragg, Pastor Christopher Brown, Sharon Stout, and Paula Flanagan.
 
Saturday, July 16 2022, family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m.to 11:00 a.m  at Overcoming Believers Church, 211 Harriet Tubman Street, Knoxville, TN. Social distancing and face coverings required. A Celebration of Life to follow.   Daryl W. Arnold, Sr., Pastor Christopher Brown, officiating, Pastor Michael Cleveland, eulogist.
