Marine W. Simmons

Marine Warren Simmons departed this life on Thursday, September 16, 2021, surrounded by her family.

Born Maryrene Warren in Rienzi, Mississippi, she was the daughter of the late Hezekiah Warren and Hosanna Earnest Warren- Lane-Baker. Marine spent her adult life in East Tennessee. For many years, she worked providing home-assisted care to several families in the area.  Marine was a member of Scarboro Church of Christ in Oak Ridge, TN for several years. 

She was a devoted mother of seven children, Wanda Dye, Terry Simmons, Brion Simmons, Portia Simmons, Anna Simmons-Cale (Stan), Tonia Simmons, and Anthony Simmons and a loving grandmother to a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Thank you to Fort Sanders Medical Center and Amedisys Hospice Care staff for their excellent care and attention to our mother. A heartfelt thank you to all for the prayers and calls during this difficult time.
