On June 8,2025, Marketta moved to her new address and received her wings. She was a beloved wife, mother, daughter and friend.  She was a light to all who knew her.  Known for her unwavering strength, generous spirit, and the warmth she shared with everyone she met.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents Carl (Lelia Mae) Thompson and Clarence (Ella Bell) Johnson Jr.

She is survived by her very loving and devoted husband of 20 years Jason Humphrey, and their son she cherished, Lamarcus Humphrey. Her parents are Clarence (Edna) Johnson, brothers Christopher Johnson, and Jerome (Gina) Johnson; brothers- in-law and sisters - in- law  James (Katherine) Humphrey, Gabriel (Angela) Dennis, Fred (Hope) Cooper and a host of nieces and nephews. Devoted friend Jewel Shelton of 40 plus years.

Marketts’s love for her family was fierce and unconditional, and she immense pride in their accomplishments and the people they have become.

She joined the Air Force in 1995 and after her service with them she joined US Bank, formerly known as Nova.  She was a dedicated and devoted employee until her passing.

She will be remembered for her kind heart, infectious laugh, and her ability to make everyone feel like family.  Marketta fought a good fight, made the world a brighter place, and her absence will be deeply felt.  She leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience and faith that will continue to inspire those who loved her. Though she is no longer with us in body, her spirit will live on forever in the hearts of her family and friends.
