Michael Eric Brown was born on September 29, 1966. He was the youngest of six children born to the Reverend Richard Samuel Brown and Dorothy Washington Brown.

Michael graduated Alcoa High School 1985. He loved his high school. As an alumnus, he supported the Alcoa football team by attending games regularly. Michael attended Hiawassee College. Michael was an avid sports fan and followed the Dallas Cowboys, UT Vols and Alabama Crimson Tide.

Michael was a loyal employee for 23 years at Blount Memorial Hospital where he served in the dietary department and housekeeping.

He was a faithful member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church where his father was the pastor. In addition, Michael also regularly attended Payne Avenue Missionary Baptist Church where his late brother, Reverend Richard S. Brown, Jr was the pastor.

Michael leaves to cherish his memory, a devoted and loving mother, Dorothy Brown, sister and caregiver Valencia Brown, sister Yvonne Brown Wilson (Nate), sister Gwendolyn Brown Whetstone (Rodney); aunt Beverly Gibson, cousin Francisco Aponte, sister-in-law Kirktenia Brown; nephews Bernard McClary (Shanee), Marcus McClary (Amy), Bryan McClary (Dara), Brian K. Whetstone, Derek A. Whetstone (Lisa), Philip Wilson (Margrethe), Kevin Wilson (Sarah), Richard Bown III (Lydia); nieces Christina Mitchell (Russell) and Jessica Brown and special friend, Kevin Badgett.
