Michael E. White Sr.

Michael Eugene White Sr., age 67, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, September 8, 2022.

Michael was born on March 24, 1955 to Mack White II and Mary Thomas White. He was reared in Nashville, Tennessee, attended public schools, and graduated high school. Michael relocated to Knoxville and attended Knoxville College where he became an elite athlete and a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. He Married Luberta Ervin and together they had 6 children. Michael retired from Coca-Cola after 33 years. Michael accepted Christ at an early age. Loving the Lord with all his heart, Michael was a long-time faithful member of Rogers Memorial Baptist Church, where accepted his calling to become an ordained Deacon.

Michael leaves to cherish his memory his beautiful loving wife of 44 years, Luberta White; sons Michael (Talethia) White Jr., Mack (Elisha) White, Matthew White, Mark White, Malcolm (Cassie) White, daughter Michele White; grandchildren Malachi White, Kavaughni White, Makiyah White, Marcel and Maleah Hendrieth. And a host of other relatives and friends, too numerous to name.

Friday, September 16, 2022, family will receive friends from 11 a.m.-12 p.m., with funeral services to follow at Rogers Memorial Baptist Church, 520 College St., Knoxville, TN. Rev. A.D. Baxter, officiating. Mask are required. Interment to follow at New Gray Cemetery, 2724 Western Ave., Knoxville, TN. A white dove release will conclude the service.
