Norma Jean Lockhart was born Oct. 12, 1964 in Knoxville, TN to Anna Rachel and Daniel Lockhart Sr. she departed this life and went home to be with the Lord on February 13, 2026.
Norma Jean referred to as “Jeannie” by family while growing up in Mechanicville. Norma graduated from Rule High School and attended Knoxville College. She grew up in Rogers Memorial Baptist Church but later joined Eternal Life Harvest Center where she was an active member until sickness (cancer and heart disease) made it too difficult. However, she continued attending church to hear and practice the Word of God.
Norma worked at Fort Sanders Hospital, University of TN-campus and Premier Services. She enjoyed reading a variety of topics but especially bible related topics; going and watching movies, crafts and dining out. In her younger years traveling.
Norma is preceded in death by parents Anna Rachel and Daniel Lockhart, Sr. and brother Daniel Lockhart, Jr.
While gone from this earthly realm, Norma will forever remain in the hearts and minds of those who will cherish her memory including her sister Mary (Jerry) Benton, Knoxville, TN; brother Freddie Hoskey, Jr Hopkinsville, KY; nephew Jarvis (Kelley) Lockhart; niece Chantel Smith-Johnson, Durham, North Carolina and host of cousins, other family members and friends.
