Reba Mae Drew, a beacon of faith and love, passed away at the age of 93 on June 21, 2024, in Dayton, Tennessee. Born on April 19, 1931, in Knoxville, Tennessee, she was a woman whose life was a testament to the virtues of kindness, wisdom, and devotion.

Reba was the beloved matriarch of a family that cherished her deeply. Though she was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Jane Stevens ; husband, Herman Thomas Drew Jr; daughter, Barbara Forrest; and sons, William Edward Drew and Steven Lamar Drew; her spirit lives on through her surviving kin.

She is fondly remembered by her children, Janis (Derril) Keith of Dayton, TN, Herman Drew III of Knoxville, TN, and Larry (Inetta) Drew of Kansas. Her legacy continues through the lives of her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will carry forward the values she instilled in them. Reba also leaves behind devoted friends, Johnnie M. Brown and Libby Smith, as well as the entire Fern St. Church Family.

A devout Christian, Reba's passion for the Bible was the cornerstone of her existence. Her love for Scripture and steadfast belief in the Lord provided comfort and guidance not only to her but to everyone she encountered. Reba's innate wisdom made her a natural counselor, always ready to offer advice drawn from her spiritual knowledge. She relished in leading and participating in Bible study groups, where her insights were a source of encouragement and enlightenment.

To describe Reba as faith-filled, loving, and wise is to capture the essence of a life well-lived. Her favorite scripture was Galatians 2:20, I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me.The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. " This scripture was the philosophy by which Reba led her life, turning everyday acts into profound expressions of love.

She will be deeply missed, yet forever remembered as a guiding light to all who had the privilege of knowing her.
