Rebecca Willis

Rebecca Foster Sloan Willis, age 73, entered into her eternal rest on Tuesday, August 15, 2023. She was born on October 10,1949 to the late Paul and Lucia Foster in Chattanooga, TN. 

She loved people and never met a stranger and would give her very last to help someone else. Also, she had a special place in her heart for children and those in need. 

Rebecca was of the Christian Faith and a devoted follower of Jesus. After moving to Oak Ridge, TN, Rebecca was a faithful usher at Oak Valley Baptist Church in Oak Ridge, before marrying and joining Mount Sinai Baptist Church in Clinton, TN. She was a 1969 graduate of Howard High School of Chattanooga. Rebecca was a committed employee of Oak Ridge Hospital for many years until her debilitating massive stroke. She is remembered for her joyful spirit, love of cooking, watching old movies, and listening and dancing to her (Jams). 

Rebecca was a wonderful wife, sister-in-law, aunt and friend. She is preceded in death by her beloved mother, Lucia Foster; father, Paul Foster; husband, Joseph Hewitt Willis, and siblings, Robert Lee Foster, John Foster, Paul Foster and Clara May Foster. 

She is survived by her brother, Ottis Foster of Chattanooga. Rebecca had a special relationship with a devoted niece, Kandise Sloan and nephew, Lee Sloan. She has a host of sister-in laws and brother-in-laws, with a very devoted brother-in-law, Bobby Willis of Clinton and brother and sister- in -law Robert and Earnestine Sloan of Oak Ridge.
