Reneshia Howard Obituary

Reneshia "NeNe" Kensha Howard, aged 30, left this world peacefully on March 9, 2024, in her hometown of Knoxville, Tennessee, where she was born on July 19, 1993. She was a beacon of joy and wisdom in the lives of all who knew her, and her laughter was a melody that echoed in the hearts of her loved ones.

NeNe was preceded in passing by her cherished family members Aubrey "Blue" O'Neal, Thomas Dunn Sr., Minnie Marsh, Paula Nelson, Mary Jett, William Carter Jr., Emanuel Howard.

She leaves behind an enduring legacy through her loving son, Ziemerrius Howard, who was the light of her life. Her spirit is carried on by her devoted parents, Nekya O'Neal (Reggie) and Richard Dunn (Angela), and her stepfather, Reginald Marsh. Her wisdom will live on through her beloved grandparent, Darlyne Howard.

She was a sister like no other to LaTravia Howard (Mike), Reginald Marsh Jr., Richard and Rieshayia Smith, Jadarius, Marcus, and Taurshaunna Watts, Tyrique, Cle'Shayia, Cle'Iona Nelson, Ricshon Johnson, Jovonte Cotner, Ni'Coy Dunn, and Trevem Boatwright.

Her aunts and uncles, Lisa Carter (Stephon), Laketa O'Neal, Tina Dunn, Shamekia Nelson, Thomas Dunn (Tiki), and Taurus Dunn (Terica), and neice Meilani Jones will miss her deeply.

Reneshia's cousins, Jermaine Marsh, J'Sharra and La'Kira Carter, Shandasia and Emanuel Turner, Jeff and Juany Mathis, Chris Winton along with a host of extended family members, will hold her memory dear.

Renesdia's great-great couins, Jaleel and Kaleel Lewis, Bra'Shyra Dickey, Jabria Tillery, Siya Carter, and Aubrey Turner.

Special family and friends, including Joshua "EA" Davenport, Nikki Maxwell, her best friend, Mayrini Dickey, and the entire Marsh, Dunn, Nelson, Howard and O'Neal Family, have lost a bright star in their constellation.

A proud graduate of West High School's Class of 2011, NeNe's love for learning was evident in her avid reading and pursuit of knowledge. Her interests were as rich and varied as the books she cherished; from the simple pleasure of watching movies to the joy of cooking, each activity was infused with her unique flair and warm spirit. NeNe's companionship with her dog, Russia, and the time spent laughing and living with her family were the highlights of
her days.

Described by those who knew her as loving, funny, and intelligent, Reneshia lived a life that exemplified these traits in every interaction. Her quick wit and bright intellect were matched only by the vastness of her heart. One could often hear her quoting Maya Angelou, saying, "People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." Indeed, all who were touched by NeNe's presence can attest to the indelible mark she left on their hearts.

Reneshia's life was a testament to the beauty of simplicity and the strength of kinship. Her laughter was contagious, her counsel sought after, and her generosity knew no bounds. She had an uncanny ability to see the best in people and to make every individual feel seen and appreciated.

As we say goodbye to Reneshia "NeNe" Kensha Howard, we celebrate the remarkable woman she was and the extraordinary life she lived. Her story does not end here, for she has sown seeds of love and kindness that will blossom for generations to come.

Her memory will be cherished and honored, and her spirit will continue inspiring those fortunate enough to have known her.

In the words of Helen Keller, "What we have once enjoyed, we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes a part of us." Reneshia's love, indeed, has become a part of us all. May she rest in peace, knowing she was deeply loved and her impact on this world was profound.
