Richard L Benjamin

Our beloved Richard L. Benjamin age 59, formerly of Oliver Springs TN entered eternal peace on Thursday May 7, 2020 in Jacksonville Florida.

He was a graduate of Clinton Senior High School. His employment included being an over the road truck driver, many years with the Department of Energy, and had many years of owning his own construction and lawn service.

Brother Ricky served as a devoted trustee for C.B. Helping Hands Ministries Jacksonville. A very independent man who loved the Lord, and was willing to take on any task small or big. He was a problem solver always willing to lend a helping hand. He went above and beyond to help those in need. With a big heart and a big smile he seemed larger than life, a mentor to all, a supporter dreams.

Ricky was preceded in death by his parents, Reverend Chester Benjamin Sr, Dorothy J Benjamin, his brother Chester “Terry” Benjamin II, brother in law Randy Kirk, and special friend Tamela West Benjamin. 

Ricky leaves to cherish his memory, his loving daughter TaKeera Benjamin, granddaughter Kelsey Benjamin of Oak Ridge TN; Goddaughters Olivia Parker of Oak Ridge TN and Hannah Casteel of Harriman, TN. 

Siblings: Wilma Kirk of Chattanooga TN, Brenda Benjamin of Clinton TN, David and James Benjamin of Oak Ridge TN, Shelia Benjamin Inusah {Troy) of Jacksonville Florida; Uncle Charles Earl Boyd (Freda) and Aunt Linda Weaver; Sister in-law Emma Benjamin.

A host of loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Special friends: Rev. Antonio Thomas, Pastor Bernard Robinson, Budd Graves, Tammy Fulton, and the entire Benjamin family. 

Saturday, May 23, 2020,  the body may be viewed from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at CB Helping Hands Ministry, 112 Midway Drive, Oliver Springs, TN.  A private Celebration of Life service to follow.  During this time, we will remain in compliance with the Governor's Executive Order #17 (COVID-19).
