Robert Lee Hampton Jr. went home to be with the Lord on August 7, 2024. He was born December 19, 1963, to the late Betty Jean Goss Hampton and Robert Bobby Hampton Sr.

Robert was known to everyone as "Jughead." He graduated from Rule High School and was raised in the Lonsdale community. Robert "Jughead" 's laugh will forever be embedded in everyone's memory. He loved sports, and his favorite teams were the Dallas Cowboys, the Los Angeles Lakers, and the Tennessee Vols. Robert "Jughead" loved being around friends and family. He especially adored his daughter, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren with all his heart.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Goss Hampton, grandmother, Lilllie Mae Goss, sisters Tangella Hampton, Wanda Simpson, and Vernita Clark; aunts Mary Cozart and Rena Mae Goss; uncles Paul and Claude Goss; cousins John Mills Jr. and Carla Cozart; and niece Vernisha Hampton.

Survived by father, Robert Hampton Sr.; daughter, Kateshia Hampton (Darrell Jones Sr.); granddaughters, Demasha and Delaysha Jones; grandson, Darrell Jones Jr.; great-grandchildren, Raelynn Martin and William Martin IV; brothers, Maurice Hampton Sr. Kevin Dobson, and God brother Larry Coats; sister, Sharon Manning; aunt, Glennie Mills (John Lee Mills); niece, Tangella Simpson; nephews, Jamol Manning Sr., Steve Simpson Jr., Ahmad Manning Sr., Marteze Simpson Sr., Hiram Clark Jr., Maurice Hampton Jr., host of great nieces, nephews, cousins and family to include devoted friends, Pastor Steve Simpson Sr., Eggie Smith, the White Family, The Duff Family, Ms. Edith and the entire Lonsdale Community and too many family and friends to name.
