Robin Everett Saffell, age 59, was born and raised in Knoxville, TN.
Our beloved father and “Papaw” closed his eyes peacefully and fell asleep in death surrounded by loved ones on July 19, 2021, at UT Medical Center. Robin had a love for music, whistling, dancing, and popping his fingers. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Barbara Saffell, along with his loving brother and sisters.
Survived by his devoted wife and best friend, Angela Williams-Saffell; loving daughters, Nichelle Saffell of Charlotte, NC and “Little” Robin (John) Yang of Wausau, WI; stepdaughters, Renee Williams and Breann (Dustin) Strader of Knoxville, TN; grandchildren, London and Linden Williams, Suren Strader and his beloved baby, Ava Yang; brothers, Wayne, Ronald and Donald Saffell; sisters, Angela “Ann” Saffell and “Big Sis” Marilyn Young; devoted nephew, Greg Gillis of Knoxville, TN, who was the son he never had; special friends, Robert Brooks and Marshall “Man” Suber; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other friends.
Saturday, July 31, 2021, a public walkthrough is scheduled from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Greater Warner Tabernacle A.M.E Zion Church, 3800 Martin Luther King, Jr. Avenue Knoxville, TN. Social distancing and face coverings are required. Graveside service to follow at Mount Olive Cemetery, 2400 Berry Road, Knoxville, TN.
