Sharla Anne Freel Obituary
Sharla Anne Freel was born in Newhall, California on August 7, 1980, and left this earth on January 3, 2026, to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
She found her niche as a 911 police/fire dispatcher, while residing in Florida. Sharla assisted in saving many lives using her talent of communication, professionalism, and compassion for both “her” officers that she was privileged to work with, and those individuals who called asking for help.
She was in the process of relocating, along with her son and her “fur-boys” from Florida to Tennessee. Sharla fell in love with the Great Smokey Mountains, especially watching the changing of the seasons.
Sharla is survived by her loving son, Nathaniel Evan Freel of Tennessee; her parents, Samuel and Laurette Lagasse Freel; her brother, Bryan Craig (Siobhain) Freel of Texas and many nephews, nieces, uncle, aunts, and cousins, all who loved her very much.
Nathaniel and her boyfriend, Ryan, wanted to pay tribute to her by saying, “Her spirit was as strong as a mountain lion and her heart as a gleaming diamond. That heart will live on in these mountains for ages to come.”
There will be no formal services or memorials for Sharla, per her and her family’s request.
