Sharon Lee Nix, age 76, of Oak Ridge, Tennessee, gained her heavenly wings and transitioned home on October 2, 2023. She was born on May 18, 1947. She graduated from Oak Ridge High School and Roane County Vocational School. She held many talents and was employed at Tennessee Valley Authority, where she retired.
She was married to preceded Jerry Nix. She loved her family and friends dearly; they meant everything to her. She loved the Lord and believed in the Lord Jesus Christ as her foundation and strength. She believed in celebrating every occasion, including holidays, birthdays, anniversaries, graduation, and achievements. She also enjoyed sewing and cooking.
She loved hard and gave all that she had. She always wanted others to feel loved; she had a heart of gold. She treated others the way that she wanted to be treated. She had the spiritual gift of encouragement; she would encourage you however you needed, even when she wasn’t encouraged. She was a prayer warrior and believed in the power of prayer.
She always loved music and truly enjoyed praise and worship. She loved reading her bible and sharing the love of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was a devoted member of Beulah Church of God Holiness of Knoxville and a former member of True Light Baptist Church; she was a loyal servant to God. She desired to please God in all things and was ready to meet her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She lived fully and fought the good fight until God called her home.
She preceded in death by her mother, Edith Wilson and sister Jo Ann Lee. She is survived by her brother Archie Lee (Mary Emma) of California and two beautiful daughters, Daphne Lee Booth of Oak Ridge and Julie Rembert (Mike) of Southfield, Michigan.
Her family called her Momma Sharon. Momma Sharon leaves to cherish her everlasting love and beautiful spirit to her five grandchildren, Duran Lee, Semia Cole, Xavier Sanford, Skylar and Chloe Rembert. Eight great-grandchildren, Malik Newcomb, Danta Chapa, Zayden Spratling, XanDraya and Zylik Sims, Nyasiah, Azariah and Adream Sanford. One Godson, Charles Robinson, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, the Jefferson and Milton families, and so many dear friends.
Now that she has passed into the arms of our Lord, we should remind ourselves that while this is the end of Sharon Lee Nix’s (Momma Sharon) physical life on Earth, it’s the beginning of an eternal and beautiful journey for her.
