Shawanda Deawn Arnwine, age 42, of Knoxville, TN, departed this life on Sunday, April 23, 2023. She was born on February 1, 1981, in Knoxville, Tennessee, to her loving parents, Wayne and Patricia Arnwine. Shawanda graduated from McMinn County High School in Athens, Tennessee, and attended Hiwassee College
in Madisonville, Tennessee. Known by many for her jokes and outgoing personality, she was always the “life of the party.” She loved doing hair and make-up and always encouraged everyone to try a new hairstyle.
Through her ups and downs, she was devoted to her family and friends and was affectionally known as “Wannie,” “Wan Wan,” “Auntie,” “Queenie,”
“LuLu,”and “Queen Latifah” just to name a few.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, P’Trece Tyon Taylor, her Grandparents, Bobby (Hattie) Arnwine, Walter (Ozell) Gould, and her Uncle, Johnny Malone.
She leaves to cherish her memories of jokes and laughter, her devoted and loving parents, Wayne and Patricia Arnwine, Knoxville, TN; Brother, Adonta Griggs, Knoxville, TN; Aunts, Pamela Arnwine, Athens, TN, Tangela (Darryl) Ingram, Dallas, TX, Uncles, Rodney (Karen) Malone, Knoxville, TN, Walter Gould, Knoxville, TN, Tony Wayne (Pam) Malone, Morristown, TN. Nephew, Akilo Griggs, Nieces, DezLasha Griggs, Lakaya Griggs, Dakylee Crawford, and De'shyah Griggs, all of Knoxville, TN. Great nephews, Dashawn Griggs, and Akilyn Griggs, both of Knoxville.
