We celebrate the life and heavenly transition of our mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Sheila Guest, born April 8, 1958, in St. Louis, Missouri, and called home to be with the Lord on February 18, 2026. Though our hearts are heavy, we rejoice knowing she now rests peacefully in His arms.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Guest; her parents, Norman Elgin Sr. and Johnnie Mae Tate Johnson; her stepmother, Jean Elgin; her stepfather, Fredrick Ervin Johnson; and her brothers, Norman “Petey” Elgin Jr., Alvin Elgin, and Edward Elgin.

Sheila reflected God’s love through her kindness, laughter, and welcoming spirit. She never met a stranger and always cared deeply for others. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, working out, playing bingo, and especially spending time with her grandchildren, who were her pride and joy.

She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Lucretta Elgin, Alicia Guest, Ronisha Guest Beljour (Stanley), and Denita Guest Bright (Daniel); her grandchildren, Sharonda Elgin Hardwick (Chase), Alexis Russell, Kalaeh Beljour, Jarvis Fishback Jr., Riana Russell, Jamear Fishback, and Ralph Russell; her siblings, Jamie Welch, Avery Kyle of TN, Getania Jenkins (Marcus) of IN, John Elgin, and Charles Elgin (Charnell) of Mo; devoted cousins Julie Fletcher of TN and Debra Elgin of Mo; along with a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
