Shirley Ann Davidson, age 64, gained her wings on March 14, 2023, at UT Hospital. She was born July 30, 1958, to the late Letha and Lenetta Davidson. She was the youngest of eight to this union. Shirley was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and great friend to all that she came to encounter. Shirley loved God, chicken, and her son Jrayson (Maine). She was baptized at an early age and graduated from Austin East High School class of 1976. She worked in the line of service as a CNA and assistant at Sam E. Hill School until she retired.
Shirley was a devoted member of New Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, where she served on the usher board and sang in the choir. Shirley was known to light up a room with her affectionate smile, and loving and caring personality. She was never a person to complain. She loved to uplift everyone all the way till the end.
Shirley was preceded in death by parents, Letha and Lenetta Davidson; sister, Annette Davidson; brother, Elise Davidson and grandmother, Virginia Lee.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories son, Jrayson Davidson (Melcharle); loving grandsons, Jacques Marcus, Jazion Riley, Tristan and Jamil Thompson; 2 beautiful great-grandchildren; brother, John Davidson, of Knoxville, TN, and Ernest (Sandra) Davidson, of Michigan; sisters, Margret (Mac) Dooley, of Michigan, Retha Cobb, of Knoxville, TN, and Cleo Mickle, of Texas. A host of nieces, nephews, and cousins too numerous to name. Devoted friends, Vicky Kemp, and Rosella Winton.
Tremendous gratitude of thanks to the caregiving staff, devoted sister Retha Cobb, the staff at Fresenius Kidney Care, Fort Sanders, her bonus son Cody Beeler, who she loved, her cousin Karen Johnson, and the KAT lift bus drivers. Thank you!
