Stanford Eugene Davis, aged 70, passed away on August 1, 2024, in his hometown of Knoxville, Tennessee. Born on September 2, 1953, in Knoxville, TN, he was a lifelong resident and a deeply cherished member of the community.
Stanford began his illustrious career at the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) in 1974 as an intern, dedicating his entire career to the organization until his retirement from the NEPA Administration program. Throughout his tenure, Stanford was recognized with numerous awards for his exceptional work across various roles, reflecting his commitment and expertise.
A graduate of Bearden High School and the University of Tennessee, Stanford was known for his sharp intellect and detail-oriented approach. His education played a significant role in shaping his professional path and personal interests.
An avid outdoorsman, Stanford's passions included fishing, hunting, and hiking. He relished the time spent in nature and was also a fervent supporter of University of Tennessee sports. Known as a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Stanford's love for his family was evident to all who knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Alecia Mitchell Davis; sons, Corey Jarmon (Jennifer) and Stanford Eugene Davis II (Michelle); grandchildren, Christopher Allen Jarmon (McKenzie), Robert Avery Jarmon, Madison Holland-Davis, and Victoria Holland-Davis; brothers, Edward(Leiane), Stephen( Tonya), Theodore (Shelia), Claude (Barbara), Arssie, Kenneth (Nikka), and Shawn Mitchell; sisters-in law;, Delores Mitchell and Denese Cunningham and Maxine Davis; extended family and friends, Edward and Rhonda Davis and family; Cecil and Donna Burns and family; Andre and Missy Price and family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Mary Davis, siblings, Ronald Davis, Sylvia Murphy, Rose Hobbs, Mark Mitchell, and in-laws, Coldon and Dorothy Mitchell.
Stanford's legacy will live on through his family, friends, and the countless lives he touched with his warmth, integrity, and dedication.
