Tabatha “Tabu” Rena Bingham, age 57, passed away peacefully at home in Knoxville, TN, on December 1, 2024. She was the fourth of five children, born on May 23, 1967, in Marshallville, GA, to Mittie Lou Davis and J.D. Paster. Tabatha graduated from Macon County High School in Montezuma, GA, in 1986. She joined Bethel Baptist Church in Marshallville at an early age and recently rededicated her life back to Christ.
She was a devoted wife to Alonzo Willie Bingham Jr. for 33 years and a mother to three children. Tabatha had a remarkable gift that impacted
many lives. She had a deep love for caring for children and played an integral role in raising a generation of kids. Tab enjoyed working with the children at the New Hope Community Center in Knoxville, TN. In addition to her passion for childcare, she excelled in running track and had a talent for drawing. Tab also loved cooking and sharing meals with people from all walks of life. Anyone who met her adored her for her sense of humor and incredible memory, as she never forgot anything from her childhood onward.
Preceded in death by her mother, Mittie L. Davis; father, J.D. Paster; brothers, George Davis; and Frank Davis; sister, Lenora Brown and granddaughter, Amiyah Booher.
She leaves behind cherished memories for her husband, Alonzo Bingham Jr., and her daughters: Lanita (Justin, Juliana, Jumireya, Juhzara, Juream, Jamorie); Latifah (Cayden, LeMaiya Vincent, Arielle); and Tanytha (Jalaya, Taliyah, Janae). She is also survived by her brothers, John Davis and Rickey Davis of Knoxville, TN; Timothy Grant of Atlanta, GA.; as well as Steve Paster, Ronnie Paster, Linda McKenzie, Sheila Hall, Cynthia Paster, Barbara Paster, and Jackie Douglas of Macon, GA.
Jamorrious Draines, her devoted bonus son, and Chantel D. Washington (Joey), her loving sister and cousin, were always by her side. The Draines family in Marshallville, GA, shared a strong and close bond with her, reflecting their unwavering support and love.
